On the occasion of the dossier about psychogeography in the number 6 of Bostezo magazine

Bostezo and Artefagia invite you to participate in

CASTELLANO | ENGLISH

Participants. Any person may participate.

Technical. Free format (black and white, color, mixed, etc), accepting any analog or digital effects.

Theme. The photographs would portray city urban locations (defined as an urban center of any size and population). The theme of the contest refers to a subjective category of the participant's relationship with their city, through secret , anonymous, hidden, separated, disturbing, ghostly, fetishes, curious, peripherals, hidden, mysterious, invisible or mystical places .

The photographs will be accompanied by a brief text explaining the image portrayed (maximum 600 characters including spaces). We accept any language for the text, but it should be accompanied by a translation into Spanish, Catalan, Esperanto, Arabic, French or English.

No prior publication. Photographs submitted must not have been published in any medium (paper or digital) or awarded in other competitions before the declaration of the final decision of the competition.

Sending pictures. The photographs may be sent by mail to revistabostezo@gmail.com, having to comply with the following characteristics:
- In JPG format.
- Minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- Neither side of the photo should be less than 1000 pixels.
- The weight of the file should not exceed a maximum of 5 megabytes (MB).

Participants can send a maximum of 3 pictures, with or without thematic unity.
The participant must submit the following information in a Word attachment: name, address and telephone.

Participants can send the photographs until October 1st, 2011 at 23.59 hours.

Jury. The selection of the photographs will have two phases:

A first jury composed of subscribers of the magazine will choose the 8 images. The images will be published in the magazine's website (www.revistabostezo.com). Subscribers of the magazine can participate, but they will be excluded from the jury. During the voting period all images will be added to the website www.revistabostezo.com. Once the voting period photographs will be removed from the website.
A second jury composed of persons related to the field of photography will choose the winning photo from among the eight finalists.

The jury's decision will be made public through the web www.artefagia.com and www.revistabostezo.com

Prize. There will be a prize of 150 euros for the winning photo and publication in the number six of Bostezo magazine, dedicated to psychogeography. The magazine will assess the possibility of publishing in the journal also other of finalist photographs . The finalist photos will be posted on the website of the magazine.

The prize cannot be declared without winner

Other considerations
Participation in the competition implies that the author / s have recognized the property of the works presented, therefore, there may not have claims for royalties, leaving the magazine Bostezo exempt from liability if there be any dispute over the property of works .

Participation in the competition implies acceptance of publication in the magazine and Bostezo website www.revistabostezo.com of the eight photographs that are finalists. Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these rules. Any situation not contemplated in these rules shall be settled by the competition organizers.
